10 Women to Listen this International Day of Women and Girls in Science

International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Every year on February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGIS) is observed to promote gender equality and provide women greater authority in all levels of STEM fields. This year’s emphasis is on how women and girls fit into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) scope.

Promoting scientific topics, education, and career paths among women- particularly young girls is a crucial initiative that needs to be practiced by both parents and institutions. Some women who are a part of the field have taken it upon themselves to promote and encourage girls, and everyone, to take up science.

Podcasts are an interactive platform for people to connect with intellectuals, business leaders, and more. Many science wizards run the best science podcasts on various platforms to help spread knowledge and information about the field to the general public.

The top science podcasts on Spotify, apple, or several other platforms have a worldwide listener base and reach several girls. Instead of posters for an international day of women and girls in science, listening, supporting, and sharing these podcasts will have a greater impact.
